Additional information

I carried out relevant investigations in the field of Design, Development and Simulation of Chemical Processes starting with basic principles through block diagrams up to detailed simulations and original Design Methods as several evaluations of national academic committees have emphasised.


The main subjects studied have been the desalination of sea-water, distillation, fixed bed operations, membrane processes, dynamic and control and optimisation.  The results obtained are being illustrated in didactic duties, seminars and conferences.


I published, as author and co-author, nearly fifty scientific works on the above subjects with national and international relevance, some of them with high impact factors. They have been also object of further studies by others, helpful hints and constructive criticism as many citations support.


I participated to a relevant number of national and international congresses, workshops, seminars and schools as speaker,  other congresses and  short intensive courses as participant and I organized a seminar on the application of membranes in blood purification.

Other Institutions

I spent several instructive periods in other Institutions in United States, United Kingdom and Denmark.


I carry out reviews of papers for Journal of Membrane Science, Desalination, AIChE Journal.


I am member of several cultural and professional associations such as The Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDIC), The Italian Society of Biomaterials (SIB), The European Society of Membrane Science and Technology (ESMST), The Academic Research Group of Chemical Engineering (GRICU).
