Giuseppe Fabri was born in Rieti, Italy, on January 24, 1982. He received the M.S. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and information engineering from the Univ. of L’Aquila, L’Aquila, Italy, respectively in 2009 and 2013. He is currently Associate Professor with the Univ. of L’Aquila in the field Power Converters, Electrical Machines and Drives. His research activities involve the development, control, and test of electrical motor drives mainly focused on fault-tolerant electrical drives and actuators for aircraft and automotive applications. In particular, he has experience in power electronics design and DSP-based control platforms along with implementation of motor control algorithms for ac drives. His interests also cover rapid prototyping techniques and real-time simulation systems. He participated to different European (ReFreeDrive, HyPerMac, Life 3H) and nationally funded programs. He is member of the IEEE and he is part of the Interdipartimental Center of Sustainable Transports and Mobility (Citrams).
