Giampaolo D’Alessandro received the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2014. Then he received the Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Information Engineering from University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2019. He was a post-Doc student in the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering and Economics at University of L’Aquila, Italy, from May 2019 to April 2022. He is currently a Research Fellow at University of L’Aquila, Italy.
During his research activity he was involved in the following research projects:
§ “Study and support for the development of thermo-hydraulic systems for air conditioning and domestic hot water production” (from January 2021 to December 2021)
§ “Study and optimization of the mixer of an industrial wastewater treatment plant using supercritical water” (from December 2019 to April 2020)
§ “Generalized steady-state boundary conditions for the Exact Analytical Conduction Toolbox” (from May 2019 to December 2020)
He has significant scientific collaborations with Virginia Military Institute (USA), with La Rochelle Université (France), and with University of Canterbury (New Zeeland).
He was appointed Subject Expert in ING-IND/10 at University of L’Aquila on 2020.
He was member of the organizing committee of the “10th International Conference on Inverse Problems in Engineering (ICIPE20)” that was held at Francavilla al Mare (CH), Italy, on May 15-19 2022.
His main research activities are in the fields of heat conduction problems, intrinsic verification, inverse problems, thermal behaviour of micro-thermoelectric coolers, thermal properties estimation of solid materials using inverse techniques, sensitivity coefficients, optimal experimental design, diffusion of drugs in biological tissues, CFD analysis of thermal components of industrial and civil plants.
